4 things...this city

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a great week.  It has been a busy four wedding week for me.  It is amazing how many beautiful relationships and marriages are celebrated in this city.  Even with this busy week  I am thankful I found time to have a date night with Mike and to relax a bit.  As the week comes to an end it is nice to sit down, collect my thoughts and share some of the things that have been on my mind this week.

Watching : Bright Star, a new musical that is playing at the Old Globe.  Bright Star is the best musical I have seen in years.  The book was written by Steve Martin and the music is by Edie Brickell.  The musical takes place post World War II in North Carolina.  It is very touching, and the music is rad.

Dreaming : of more family time to come.  My brother and his family might move to San Diego.  As soon as they told me I started dreaming up all the things we could do.  I feel in love with San Diego as soon as I moved here.  I can not wait to share all this city has to offer with my brother and his family.  Hopefully the move happens.

Enjoying : Our new neighborhood, especially the new coffee shops.  Lestat's is one of my favorite's so far.  On Mondays they have open mic night.  I enjoy experiencing other forms of art, and listening to all the talented musicians.

Listening to : Songza "songs to raise your children to".  The playlist is full of classic wholesome music from the likes of Sam Cooke, Ben E. King, The Temptations and The Supremes.   They are timeless songs that you can't help but sing along to.  I am glad this playlists exists to pass these songs on from generation to generation, because everyone deserves to hear great music.

xoxo,
