“If my love were an ocean, there would be no more land.If my love were a desert, you would see only sand. If my love were a star- late at night, only light. And if my love could grow wings, I'd be soaring in flight.” ― Jay Asher
5 SOMETHINGS // THE COLOR GREEN
While Suzanne is away, we will continue to play. Here are my 5 Somethings from this active and refreshing week.
Something Lovely :: Seeing all of the bright green on the hiking trails along the San Diego river. The rain works magic!
Something Dreamy :: My next vacation with Suzanne.
Something captured :: Beautiful scenery along my hike.
Something New :: I learned to breathe, relax and let the process play out in all things.
Something Challenging :: A not so funny mishap from the week - I lost all of the notes on my phone. Does anyone else use that as their to-do list/thought protector/life map? Needless to say, I was not happy!

Matt and Susan : A mountaintop engagement

Best of 2015 : Family
It wasn’t always this way.
I call myself the San Diego pioneer of my family. Everyone used to be spread out across the U.S in Indiana and Northern California. Slowly but surely, throughout 2015, they have all made their way to San Diego. Mom, Molly (mom’s poodle), Dad, Brother, Sister-in-law, and nephew. What a crew!
I’m realizing that having my family here has made me fall in love with the important things. Flat lighting, uncoordinated outfits and messy backgrounds don’t matter as much. Falling head over heels for my nephew and having my entire family in San Diego has added an extra layer to my love affair with photography.
I love it this way.
