We love Suzanne&Mike

There is never a dull moment here at Shewanders as an intern. Every day is different but just as important as the last and the next. We are never short of yummy treats, silly stories, and hard, hard work. This week was pretty unusual for us however.  It was Suzanne and Mike's wedding week!

Thank goodness for us interns... ribbon tying, streamer decorating, errand running, more ribbon tying, hot gluing, ribbon tying and some more ribbon tying lead to the perfect display of pinks, teals, yellows and greys for Suzanne and Mike's Balboa Park wedding! The week of events consisted of the interns meeting at the most gorgeous beach house in Ocean Beach(who could complain about that). There, we spent our hours with ribbon, and lots of it! We were so excited on the day of to be a part of the setting up process and to see all the small details we had worked on become a part of the whole picture. Flowers, check! Linens, Check! Ceremony space, check! and the list goes on and on. We were amazed!

We thought we were working hard until we saw all the vendors collaborate and turn the open space into a gorgeous, Suzanne themed party. Coordinator Jen directed us to set up tables, linens, mad libs, sweets table, etc. I personally helped Katherine from Root 75 place incredible flower arrangements on each table. The transformation of both the ceremony space and the reception location so perfectly represented Suzanne and Mike's bright,  fun-loving, and heartfelt lifestyle. The best part of the wedding, and we all agreed, was  how much love and emotion we all saw, felt, and experienced the entire week. No bridezilla over here! All week we were overwhelmed by calmness, laughter and as usual, gigantic hugs! If a bride on her wedding day is filled with so much love and joy, I think it is safe to say that her life will follow suit. Now, we want a baby!

With lots of love,

Candice and John Part 1 at Leo Carillo

I spy with my little eye Candice and John at the supermarket today.  Their wedding is featured in the latest edition of Exquisite Weddings Magazine.  We will be sharing with you some more goodness out of that issue soon.I don't know where to start.  Candice and John were fun from day One.  They are a beautiful couple inside and out.  They are so in love and easy around each other it made our job a dream.  Candice and I share an obsession with paper and the whole day was paper magic.  What a team.  It was so fun to work with Kate and Ellen on this one.  They created so many dreamy vignettes that I couldn't fit it all in one post.  Root75 made my dreams come true with pretty pops of color and dreamy ribbons.    Courtney was in her element and created the most personal and amazing day for her friends Candice and John and was a bridesmaid in cowboy boots.  I actually don't know what to say.  It was all so much, so much good packed into one day.  I may not have the right words but I'll show you some photos.  Then you can see for yourself how the flower girl danced around the dress and how Candice looked at John during the ceremony in a way that made me hold my breath.  Beautiful, tons of beautiful ahead.

xoxo Suzanne

It was nice to get away with Mike have some cocktails and try all the yummy food. There was so much to see and so many friends to say hi to. I really wanted to make sure we had a chance to chat with Kate and Ellen, I knew their table would be amazing and I couldn't wait to see what they dreamed up. Some laid back cali-coolness for sure. These two have a great time designing and the end results are always inspiring. Who doesn't love to photograph beautiful design?Cheers ladies, you killed it.xoxo Suzanne

The Cream Event by The Vetted Table

Mike and I made our way up to LA this weekend to check out all the cool kids at the Cream Event. We had been to Hitched a couple of years ago in Palm Springs so we knew it would be a good time. The Vibiana is gorgeous.  I would love to photograph a wedding there.Check out this beautiful table by The Vetted Table.  We are huge fans of  their yummy cuisine.  The Hostess Haven created this amazing table scape.  I would have been perfectly happy to sit at it all night and have a glass of wine and devour all the oysters.  I'm not sure what is better having a husband who cooks or having a wife who creates beautiful evenings.  Either way cheers to these two, man I have some talented friends.

xoxo Suzanne
