1) What should brides/grooms/curious seekers know about you?

-Fun fact: I told my parents that I would like to be a hairstylist and makeup artist, or a lawyer. I feel I made the right choice for me, though I do have a penchant for Law and Order.

2) Why do you love what you are doing?

-Both in coloring and cutting at my studio, and when working with brides and their loved ones, I get the privilege of making people feel great. Seeing a smile, and maybe a little sassiness show after l am finished dolling someone up makes me feel wonderful.

3) What makes your business wonderful and stand out from the rest?

-Of course there are many wonderful businesses out there. As for myself, I am extremely invested in my clients experience being positive. I like to offer exceptional service from the beginning. This may mean helping determine a look, helping you choose accessories, putting on your shoes, bringing you breath mints- any possible way I can help, I will. Also, I pride myself on being on time and on point with whatever is needed.

4) Where do you find your inspiration?

-Blogs, magazines, classic looks from decades past, and real brides who amaze me with their fabulous plans that I have the privilege of executing. And of course, Google images.

5) What does the world need right now?

-Love, sweet love. Had to do it! I am humming that song right now as I type this answer.

6) What advice do you have for brides to be?

-Choosing vendors that you feel confident in helps relieve stress both along the way and day of. Take time to look around and admire all the goodness you dreamed up. This day is a huge milestone, and you'll cherish it, but it flies by quickly. Thank goodness for photos!

7) If you could go to one of the 7 wonders of the world, where would you go and why?

-The Colosseum. Italy is a place I am very much drawn to visit in general, so seeing a wonder of the world would be icing on the cake. Preferably I would like said cake to be tiramisu with a nice glass of red- that is a wonder in my world ;)

MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY

I found this cute list on the creative photography website Piccsy. I love the last suggestion!san diego wedding photography, cheer me up, motivational monday, shewanders photography, san diego wedding blog

This weeks tune: My favorite lyricist, Paul Simon, with his 1973 hit "Kodachrome".  The song was named after the Kodak 35 mm film Kodachrome.  Kodak sometimes even used this song in their commercials!   Hope this helps your Monday blues...xoxo ...Jessica from the Wanders

Pantone #286

Lately I am loving Corona commerials.  Sure they have been around for years and they haven't really changed all that much.  But with all the craziness that surrounds moving into a new apartment, I have found a couple of seconds of bliss staring at the Pantone #286 torquoise sky that is a trademark of Corona.  Not only do they taste good on a summers day, but they also conjure up blissful memories of my favorite thing in the whole world, vacation.  OK technically, Mike Ofeldt is my favorite thing in the whole world but vacation is a distant second. These pictures take me back to the blue skies I found in San Diego, La Jolla, an island in Fiji, and Cadaques in Spain.

So now that June Gloom is behind us, Cheers to blue skies!   xoxo Suzanne
