WEDNESDAY WITH KATIE G

I am so lucky to have met Katie Gordon through SheWanders Photography.  Not only does she have vibrant energy and a stunning smile, but a true talent for taking pictures. She's been working on some awesome blog posts lately. I asked Katie a couple of questions the other day so our readers could get to know her a little better.... xoxo Jessicakatie gordon, katie gordon photography, shewanders photographers, san diego wedding blogs

J: Tell me about your dream job.

K: I would love to be a fashion photographer. I love art and believe that fashion is a form of art people can wear!

J:What's the last CD you purchased?

K: haha this is a little bit embarrassing but Femme Fatale by Brittany Spears.

J: If you could be anywhere in the world at this point in time, where would you be?

K:  This is a tough one. I love to travel and there are about a million places I'd love to be right now. Yesterday I went to el camino for taco tuesday and it made me realize I would love to be lying on the beach sipping coconut water from a real coconut is sayuita, Mexico.

J: What are you most grateful for?

K: My family and friends and the opportunities I have been blessed with.

J: If you could have a super power, what would it be?

K: To make people happy. Everybody deserves to be happy.

J: Where did your fascination with photography stem from?

K:  My black and white film class. There was something magical about placing a blank piece of paper into the chemicals and watching your image appear.

J: What's one of your favorite spots in San Diego?

K: Again, a tough question. I love to Explore and find great New restaurants as well as places to hike or beach it up. After working at shewanders photography studio located in mission hills, my new found love has become mission hills because there are a bunch of great restaurants as well as bars!

The Middle

Nearly every family vacation we ever took until I was 17 was to "The Middle" Waupaca, Wisconsin to be exact.  Sometimes we would fly and sometimes we would drive the whole way.  Chris and Bear and I would be piled in the back seat asking if we were there yet every couple of miles.  Priceless.  We would alternate between playing and playing tricks on each other.  I have so many wonderful memories from childhood eating ice cream, station wagons, waterslides, and visiting our family in Wisconsin.I usually find myself watching tv Saturday night after a wedding and then again Sunday morning when I'm way to tired to get out of bed.  What do you watch to wind down after a great night?

san diego wedding photography, the middle, abc, television

So this weeks tv obsession is The Middle.  It's full of nostalgia and characters that feel like friends.  This is one of the shows I watch when Mike isn't in the room.  I laugh way  louder than the situation warrants and I don't want him to think his girlfriend is insane.  Then later I'll rewatch it with him and only laugh half as loud.

This particular episode is my favorite.  Interviews are always a little bizarre to me.

Happy Wednesday! xoxo Suzanne

In this episode  Mike begins searching for a new job when the quarry is shut down for scientific research because of the discovery of a dinosaur bone.

The Middle Recap : “The Interview”

Interviewer:  So tell me, mike, what brings you to hoosier grain?

Mike:  Well, you called me, told me to come in, and, uh, here I am.

Interviewer:  how about you tell me a little about you?  What are three words you would use to describe yourself?

Mike: .. tall........Mike...........Man?

Interviewer:  Okay.  Well, what would you say is your best quality?

Mike:   Tall?

Interviewer:  What's your worst quality?

Mike:   WHY WOULD I TELL YOU THAT? (laughs) I mean, I'm trying to get a job here.

Interviewer: (gasps) IF YOU WERE A COLOR, WHAT COLOR WOULD You be?

Mike:   I guess I would stick with the color I am.

Are you even allowed to ask me that?
