Tricia and Kris : The New Children's Museum

Tricia and Kris melt my heart.  These two are an amazing couple. Not only were they amazing, but their bridal party was as well. One of my favorite moments from their wedding day was the bridal party pictures outside of the museum; everyone was cracking up, laughing, and dancing toward the camera. Photographing them felt like one huge party; all smiles, all day, and I'm not complaining one bit. Tricia is one of the most thoughtful people I know and it was so fun to share in their wedding day and see how loved they are by all of their friends and family. The design of the wedding was impeccable, down to the very last detail. Their theme of Old London fit in flawlessly with the venue with its concrete surrounding and great architecture. I can't say enough about this beautiful couple and may I just add...what an amazing dress! Flawless and perfection are only two of the many words that come to mind when drooling over this Vera Wang.

I asked  Brenda at Swan Soirees  for a little info about the design.  She was sweet enough to share some of the ideas in the days leading up to the wedding. Brenda described that "as for the design- I am VERY excited for it, we've spent countless hours refining every last little itty bitty detail... the paperie, the flowers, the plates, everything, every last thing...Tricia wanted something really unique, I am sure you have heard that plenty, all weddings are their own form of "unique" but with little to no inspiration online for her to see (and boy is she visual), it has been quite the long road here. Since K & T love old London so much, they wanted to make their wedding a bit of Old London (think post industrial revolution), obvi the venue is already all concrete and has great architecture for this, now we had to take the dirty, grungy, worn-down look & feel of a port city and refine it to be suitable and elegant enough for a wedding. We have lots of wood and metal touches throughout, the decor is an eclectic mix of vintage practical-use pieces with modern library-style decor. I feel it is a perfect representation of London... the old, the new, the refined, the absolutely appealing charm it all has when put together!
Our color palette is mostly blacks & grays, with accents of mustard, chocolate, and ivory. I am THRILLED for all of it.."

We are so excited to be able to share these photographs from their wedding with all of you. And for even more wedding fun, watch this short video here highlighting their big day put together by Luke McCain Videography...enjoy!

Cheers to Tricia and Kris!
